How to Care
for Your Origami Jewelry
Understandably,
many people are nervous that they’ll destroy a piece of
jewelry made from paper. So I make sure I start with the
finest quality paper – usually from Japan – and then coat it
with a clear sealant so it will retain its shape and resist
water. I tend to avoid using foil or vellum in my jewelry
because of poor wear and tear.
If a piece gets
bent, simply fold it back to its original shape. Earrings
may be worn with wet hair (although I wouldn’t go swimming
in them!) Please avoid wearing earrings while blow drying or
rigorously brushing your hair.
